Medic (Hovesh)
For conscripts who want to gain medical experience while serving in the Israeli army there are several positions and a military medic is one of them. As part of the service “Hovesh” soldiers take-in patients, carry out primary inspection, prescribe drugs and prepare documentation for soldiers.
Serving as a medic involves direct communication with doctors, teamwork, assisting with emergency surgery, teaching first aid and studying medicinal drugs.
→The course lasts for 10 weeks, which includes theoretical and practical sessions.
→The selection to khovshim courses takes place before conscription and consists of group simulation and personal interviews.
Assignment to medical points of TZAHAL placement bases (“Mirpaot”) It is possible to enroll in officer courses.
