Education administrator (Mashakit Hinuch)

The post of “Mashakit Hinuch” in the Israeli Army is a good opportunity for women to gain experience in the sphere the organization of leisure time and education of TZAHAL soldiers. Soldiers in this post are responsible for the organization of training courses in their unit (for example Hebrew course “Ulpanit” or “Nativ” course), for development and implementation of educational programs for TZAHAL soldiers, for cultural events and in-depth knowledge of Israeli history and TZAHAL ideology. Foreign Relations (Kishrei Chutz) – women

kishreihuzzahalIt is an interesting post in Israeli army for women, who want to gain experience in foreign relations. A coordinator for foreign relations is responsible for communicating with armies of other countries and a vaiety of international and peace organizations. The main tasks of “Mashakit Kishur leKohot Zarim” or just “Kishrei Chutz” consists of receiving and transmitting information between TZAHAL and any foreign bodies. (more…)

Yahalom (Handansa Kravit)

yahalomtagThe «Yahalom» unit (Diamond in Hebrew) or the abbreviation “YAHALM” (Yahida Handasait Lemesimot Miuhadot) is a special engineering unit. Yahalom is an elite unit relating to Hadansa Kravit (Engineering Brigade), which performs special missions and conducts joint operations with other special units of TZAHAL. Cook (Tabah)

The position of a cook exists at many TZAHAL bases, as it is necessary to provide 3 daily meals to all soldiers and officers. “Tabah” is usually attached to a chef (a professional under contract: “ish-keva”), who makes up a menu and is in charge of the overall cooking process. Cooks are responsible for the following: cutting salad, boiling, frying, stewing and even baking. Besides, cooks take care of the kitchen equipment maintenance, food supplies, and maintain good order in the kitchen. (more…)
