Canine handlers (Oketz) – women
Women can also serve in the TZAHAL Canine unit. The soldiers of the Oketz unit work with dogs performing different tasks such as searching, rescuing, seizing and detaining.
→Women of this unit follow serious training for 16 months (which includes basic military training 05).
→The term of military service in this unit is 32 months (women sign a contract to extend their service term from 24 to 32 months).
Requirements:
Medical profile 82-97
Passing screening examinations to combat units
Passing selection inside the unit Caracal , Bardelas or Arayot HaYarden
