Divers (Snapir) – women
There are diving positions for women in Israeli Navy, the Snapir unit. The soldiers of this unit accomplish different tasks at sea: scuba diving, inspecting foreign cargo ships as well as patrolling Israeli maritime boundaries and harbors.
→The training includes basic military course 02 and professional diving courses that are three months long and counter-terrorist courses.
→The term of military service in this unit is 32 months (women sign a contract to extend their service term from 24 to 32 months).
Requirements:
Medical profile 82-97
Passing screening examinations: a two day tryout (Miun Lohamot)
Security clearance (Sivug Bithoni)
