Lifeguard at pools (Matzil baBriha)
For recruits who used to do swimming there is a position of a lifeguard at pools at Air Force bases (Kheil HaAvir). «Matzil baBriha” is quite a rare position, but a very good possibility for sportsmen to “pursue their occupation” during their service in TZAHAL. “Matzilim” fulfill two main functions, those of lifeguard and swimming pool administrator. Soldiers in this position receive a rescuer card accepted by the Ministry of Labor which is valid both in the army and in civilian life.

It is not easy to get a position of a firefighter in TZAHAL because recruitment to this unit is limited in comparison with the more popular positions. Nevertheless, this position does exist, and if you really desire this position there is a possibility to serve in the Israeli army in the capacity of a “Kabaya”. 
It is an interesting post in the Israeli army for soldiers who want to gain experience in foreign relations. A coordinator for foreign relations is responsible for the dialog with armies of other countries and different kinds of international and peace organizations. The main task of “Mashak Kishur leKohot Zarim” or just “Keshrey Khuy” consists of receiving and transmitting information between TZAHAL and any other foreign bodies. 
There is an interesting and widely available opportunity for women in TZAHAL to enter the world of medicine, especially dentistry. Sayat rofe shinaim help dentists in everyday medical practice: surgery, dental filling, tooth root removal, teeth alignment, x-raying, etc. 
Service at Khimush is interesting and useful for men with a technical background as it is a great opportunity to gain experience in one of the following fields: mechanics, electricity, electronics, metal works, etc. Technicians do repair work and maintenance of weapon systems, transport, armored vehicles and tanks, optics and ammunition.
→Soldiers in Himush take basic military training for level 02 (Rovaei). After that they are sent to different kinds of professional courses and upon completion they are assigned to different bases and units.

It is necessary to select “Himush" first on the pre-conscription questionnaire (Manila) or placement by the Katzin Miyun
There is almost no medical profile and other personal data limits for service in this area
Technical skills/courses/work experience are desirable
The responsibilities of the TZAHAL soldiers who take the position of «mafteah mitkanim» include site security, patrolling of the base (both on foot and by motor vehicles), sentry duty, and the controlling of soldiers and civilians who enter the base. 
The post of «Mashak logistica” in the army is divided into three main parts:
Sambatz in TZAHAL is responsible for data collection and the processing of intelligence received from the soldiers who are in the field, and its transmission directly to the chain of command. The operator’s work is an important part of the decision-making by the commanders, both in peaceful times and in emergencies.
