Foreign Relations (Kishrei Chutz)
It is an interesting post in the Israeli army for soldiers who want to gain experience in foreign relations. A coordinator for foreign relations is responsible for the dialog with armies of other countries and different kinds of international and peace organizations. The main task of “Mashak Kishur leKohot Zarim” or just “Keshrey Khuy” consists of receiving and transmitting information between TZAHAL and any other foreign bodies.
Moreover, coordinators organize international visits and provide escorts for foreign representatives, for example the UN. International trips may be possible in the capacity of Israeli army escort.
→The education training is 4 weeks long.
→As a way of promotion some soldiers could be sent to instructor courses and be enrolled in officer courses such as “Diplomacy”.
→The placement at open and closed bases.
The selection to this position is carried out prior to conscription and includes a test on general knowledge, a personal interview and group assignments.
Requirements:
Mandatory knowledge of English. Knowledge of other foreign languages is desirable
