Security officers are part of Military Police Corps. «Meavhenet Bithoni” service takes place on border-crossing points and passages between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Military investigators for criminal situations are in the Military Police Corps. “Hokeret’s” responsibilities include proceedings associated with the Criminal code violation, thefts, sex-related crimes, the sale and consumption of drugs, bribery, etc. They also undertake direct case management, arrest and questioning of individuals involved and accessory to, suspects transfer to the Army Prosecuting Authority.

The “Mishtara Tzva’it” unit’s sphere of activities is very large: women who conduct their duties as military policemen have law enforcement duties and keep a check of TZAHAL soldiers’ appearance and their discipline while away from the base. They also transport arrested people to court, control border-crossing points, capture criminals, etc. In addition, there are traffic accidents investigators.

A rare but very interesting job for women in the Israeli army is that of editor of the “Galatz” army radio station. Music selection, editing news items and broadcast preparing belong to the soldiers’ duties.
