Givati Brigade
The infantry brigade Givati is one of the most effective and responsive units of the ground forces. Due to its vast experience (established in 1947) this unit is well known beyond the boundaries of Israel.
→The soldiers of the “purple” brigade follow basic military training during 16 weeks to achieve (Rovai) level 05 and then they follow advanced training for level 07. 4-month combat experience is integral to the training.
→Once the training has been accomplished, the soldiers are placed by squadrons of senior soldiers in the battalion, some soldiers are assigned to attend different kinds of courses such as leadership and even officer courses further on.

To get into this unit, one should inform the sorting officer at the interview (Katsin miyun) or choose it while filling in the form sent by the army (Manila).
