Service at Khimush is interesting and useful for men with a technical background as it is a great opportunity to gain experience in one of the following fields: mechanics, electricity, electronics, metal works, etc. Technicians do repair work and maintenance of weapon systems, transport, armored vehicles and tanks, optics and ammunition.
→Soldiers in Himush take basic military training for level 02 (Rovaei). After that they are sent to different kinds of professional courses and upon completion they are assigned to different bases and units.
Requirements:
It is necessary to select “Himush" first on the pre-conscription questionnaire (Manila) or placement by the Katzin Miyun
There is almost no medical profile and other personal data limits for service in this area
Technical skills/courses/work experience are desirable
The responsibilities of the TZAHAL soldiers who take the position of «mafteah mitkanim» include site security, patrolling of the base (both on foot and by motor vehicles), sentry duty, and the controlling of soldiers and civilians who enter the base. (more…)
