Meitar (Artillery)
The Meitar unit (artillery elite unit) specializes in anti-tank missile operations. Most of the information about this unit is classified. Such secrecy relates to the modern technologies and developments deployed by this unit.
→Basic training is 3 months long (Rovaeii 04) and combat training and instruction is 4 months long (Imun Mitkadem).
→They join Meitar after passing “Gibbush” (physical fitness and psychological evaluation) in Totchanim (artillery), as well as the soldiers deselected from pilots’ (Tays) courses, naval officers’ courses (Hovlim), and divers courses (Tzolelot).
