Egoz
Egoz is a commando unit which specializes in conducting military operations in highlands, woodlands, and guerrilla warfare.
→Soldiers training is one year and four months long.
→There are two ways to be accepted to Egoz:
1. By passing «Gibbush» (Physical fitness and psychological evaluation) in the Golani Brigade
2. When participating in the selection for the most elite units such as the General Staff elite unit (Sayeret Matkal) one is to complete the main selection stage (but without being accepted to the unit itself). Such recruits are offered an interview for other special units such as the Egoz unit.
